Bonuses are one of the most important things for most players at any online casino, and anyone who is looking to run an online gambling house has to offer bonuses to their players in order to be able to stand out from their peers in the dynamic world of online gambling houses nowadays.
So, it was very unusual to us that PowerWin had decided to offer no welcome bonus at all. There is actually nothing that it has instead of a Welcome bonus either, so you will not be getting anything at all for making your first deposit to the online gambling house. So, right from the get-go, you will be starting off on the back foot, compared to playing at other online gambling houses, which generally have massive Welcome offers.
What’s more, we expected to see a couple of other types of bonuses at the online casino to get us started with its games. For instance, to ensure that their players have enough funds to keep playing throughout the week, most online gambling houses nowadays offer access to Reload bonuses. Those Reload bonuses are generally available throughout each week.
However, that does not mean there are no bonuses at all at the online casino. On the contrary, there are some that are focused around the VIP program of the gambling house, and on players referring friends and family members for accounts at the online casino. Here’s what you need to know about all of those bonuses:
The Referral bonuses of PowerWin
First off, let’s start with the simpler promotion, which is the Referral promotions of PowerWin. The online gambling house has a special link for each player’s profile. This link can be found within your personal account area. If you let someone sign up with that link, you will be eligible to get the Referral bonuses of the casino.
However, unlike at other online casinos that we’ve covered before, you don’t simply get to claim a fixed amount of money once players use your link to create their accounts. Instead, you get a certain percentage of the funds they wager on each game, which is set to 10% of the house edge. If you are unfamiliar with this term, it is the percentage of times the casino expects to win from the games you play.
The house edge percentage is the opposite of the Return to Player percentage. So, if a game has a 95% return to player rate, you get 10% of the 5% house edge for each bet that players get. Once you have received the money from the referrals, you can claim it at any time that you might want, and then start playing with it.
There are no wagering requirements associated with this money, nor limits on how much of it you can have at a time. Also, it’s worth mentioning that there are no limits on how many other players you can refer to the online casino, either. You can benefit from an unlimited number of referrals, but the online casino will perform checks to ensure that your referrals are genuine.
All in all, this is not a terrible bonus, but it definitely cannot substitute for the reload bonuses that we are used to seeing at online gambling houses. It is a slower and less reliable way to generate bonus funds, too, as the percentage you can get from each bet is pretty small, and there’s also no guarantee your friends and referrals will want to stick around with PowerWin. Ironically, if it had offered regular Reload bonuses, the odds of them wanting to continue to play would be better.
The VIP program of PowerWin
Now, let’s get to the crux of the promotional content of PowerWin, the VIP program of the online gambling house. There really aren’t a lot of online gambling houses nowadays that place as large an emphasis on their VIP programs, but that is necessary here, because it accounts for the majority of promotional content. First off, let’s explain how you can get to be a VIP player at the gambling house:
You can become a VIP player by reaching a lifetime deposit of $100, or its crypto equivalent. This will unlock the first level of the program. A lifetime deposit amount means the total sum of your deposited funds, not a single deposit. Compared to other online gambling houses, this is a rather low entry cost requirement for the VIP program. Then, once you have reached the first level of the program, you can advance to the next one by wagering your deposited funds.
There are seven account levels with three sublevels for each. The more you wager, the higher your account will be, with there not seeming to be any limits for how often you can get promoted in rank, nor any demotions, for instance, after a period of time passes. This is excellent, as it gives you a bunch of clear goals to work toward and look forward to.
However, please note that the highest ranks of the VIP program are actually pretty difficult to reach. To get to the top level, you need to wager as much as $200 million, or the crypto equivalent of that. This is obviously not something that is possible for most players, and we would be surprised if there were even 10 players with that VIP account level in the entire history of the online casino.
The perks you unlock for levelling up are relatively straightforward, too. Let’s start off with the Cashboost, which is a reload bonus that triggers on every fifth deposit you make to the online casino. The promotion nets you between 5% and 10% of the Cashboost sum, which is determined by summing up your four previous deposits and dividing them by four.
So, if the sum of your previous deposits amounts to $500, you would have a cashboost sum of $125, and you would get between $6.25 and $12.5 depending on the VIP account tier that you have. To be honest, this is not really impressive, considering how much you have to wager to be able to get to these highest account tiers, but the bonus is a good way to get some extra funds.
What’s more, the bonus is not subject to any wagering requirements or caps on your winnings, which is also great. The only restriction with it that you need to be aware of is the fact that the bonus becomes available once you have wagered your deposited funds at least 2.5x. All in all, this is a very interesting and innovative bonus, and we hadn’t seen it before.
Next, the Rakeback bonus of the online gambling house is also part of the VIP perks it has for players. The Rakeback bonus allows you to get a certain percentage of the house edge for each bet you place, between 5% at the first account level and 20% at the highest tier. This might sound good, as you can generate the bonus by just playing normally, but there is a bit of a catch:
The promotion is counted as a percentage of the house edge for each bet. As we explained before, the house edge is usually a small percentage of your wager as is. Let’s say you are playing a game with a house edge of 5%, and you have a 20% rakeback bonus. The promotion will give you 1% of your wagered funds as a bonus, which is very low, in our view. There is also another thing to keep in mind: 50% of the rakeback amount will be credited the next day and not instantly.
However, the promotion does have its advantages, too. For instance, there is no cap on how much you can win with it, nor are there any wagering requirements that you would need to meet in order to be able to redeem the bonus. All in all, we think it is also a pretty good and competitive reward for players to use.
Finally, we would like to touch on the other two benefits from the VIP program, too. There’s not as much to talk about with them, but here’s what you need to know about each:
- The Weekly Rewards: PowerWin promises that players who have reached any VIP level, even the lowest tier, will have access to exclusive Weekly Rewards. Those seem to be bonuses, which are tailor-made for each player based on their account activity. We find this to be a very fun way to hand out bonuses to players, but your mileage can vary with these promotions in terms of what you might get, so we cannot over their conditions in depth!
- The account manager: If you get one of the higher tiers of account with the online gambling house, you will unlock an account manager service. Account managers are employees of the online gambling house who are assigned to the accounts of the most loyal players of the casino and help them by providing them with insider tips on how to play better, early access to the casino games of the house, and much more.
