Cryptologic Casinos

Did you know that some of the most profitable companies today – Amazon, Apple, and Windows were started in a garage? And if the most successful corporations have a humble beginning, it should come as no surprise that back in 1995 the brothers Andrew and Mark Rivkin established Cryptologic and their first office was… the basement of their parents’ house.

Over the years, Cryptologic managed to keep its status of a casino industry leader and inked strategic partnerships that gave it the green light to developing some of the best branded slots of its time. Today, a company, named Cryptologic, does not exist. What happened to it and are there any casinos still offering Cryptologic titles? Scroll down to find out.

What Happened to Cryptologic?

In 2012, Cryptologic was acquired by Amaya Gaming. Three years later, Amaya sold Cryptologic to NYX Gaming. In 2018, Scientific Games acquired NYX, so technically, Cryptologic is now a part of the SG family.

Cryptologic Games

Cryptologic is famous for having developed slots versions of some of the most iconic Hollywood movies. In addition, it held the rights to develop Marvel slots. However, as stated in our Playtech review, Walt Disney decided to cement its position of a family-oriented company and cut all ties with the gambling industry. As a result, neither Playtech’s nor Cryptologic’s licenses were renewed and the Marvel slots are no longer playable.

Nevertheless, the absence of the Marvel slots does not make the other Cryptologic slots less intriguing. Whenever you are up to spin the reels, check out the following titles:

  • Sushi Express
  • Emerald Isle
  • Dragon Sword
  • Casinomeister
  • Forrest Gump
  • Millionaire’s Club
