The UKGC is the Great Britain Gambling Commission. It was established following the Gambling Act of 2005, and this new institution came to replace the Gaming Board of Great Britain. It’s a non-departmental public body and regulates arcades, betting, slot machines, bingo, casinos and lotteries.
Since it assumed full power in 2007, its new mission was also to control online gambling activities offered to the people of Great Britain. This Commission creates regulation laws to prevent crime-related activities in gambling, guarantee fairness and transparency, prevent underage gambling and assist people subject to addiction.
