Theme & Concept

The theme can certainly be inferred from the payout patterns, but the word Djinn (also Jinn and Genie) honestly didn’t mean anything to us. A trip to Wikipedia enlightened us to the extent that the theme is based on the Lost City and the tales of the Thousand and One Nights, while the Djinn is apparently some sort of monster in their mythology.

Details of Lost City of the Djinn

Lost City of the Djinn is a five reel wide, three row high video slot with 25 left to right paylines. Winning combinations require three to five matching winning symbols and/or wilds. Thunderkick has capped the payout percentage at 96.07%. The maximum win in Lost City of the Djinn is 25 000 x bet.

Paytable

The paytable lists the four suits of the deck, as well as the male and female characters in blue, green, red and purple. Free Spins

Of course, a free spins feature in Lost City of the Djinn cannot be missed. In fact, in this slot there are even 2 different free spins features.

First of all you have the “normal” free spins feature. In order to activate it, you need to spin at least 3 scatters in the base game.

The more scatters that are spun, the greater the number of free spins you earn.

Djinn Spins

However, things get a lot more interesting if you manage to trigger the Djinn spins feature. To trigger this feature, you need to spin 3 special Cash scatters. These special scatters remain fixed in place, after which you receive 3 Djinn spins. So this is actually a kind of Hold & Win feature, where 3 types of symbols can land:

• Cash scatters
• Special Feature symbols
• Blank symbols

Each Cash scatter and each Special Feature symbol remains fixed in place when it lands. In addition, the number of Djinn spins is reset to 3. The feature is over if you do not manage to spin a Cash scatter or a Special Feature symbol within 3 Djinn spins or if you have filled the entire play area with these symbols.

Lost City of the Djinn vs. 3 other Thunderkick slots

The values of all Cash scatters are then added together. A cash scatter lands with a bet multiplier of minimum x1 and maximum x50. However, you have 2 types of Special Feature symbols, which can increase this bet multiplier:

• Upgrade symbol: adds its value to all Cash scatters on the playfield.
• Copy symbol: collects the values of all Cash scatters and adds them to itself.

During the Djinn spins feature, the Pattern Collect feature is also very important. You will see that 5 positions on the playfield are framed with a blue frame. If all these positions are filled with a Cash scatter or Special Feature symbol, then the values of these framed symbols are added together. This total amount is doubled and added to the center symbol of the 5 framed positions. The other 4 framed symbols are then removed from the playing field, after which 5 new positions on the playing field are framed.
