The theme is a nice pick-me-up, even if the subject matter isn’t, as we make our way to the courtroom. The payout patterns on the reels are again typical of bank robbery-themed casino games, with the robbers, cops and safes.
Details of the Judge and Jury Megaways
Judge and Jury Megaways is a 6 reeler with two to seven line high video slot with a line count per spin of 324-117,649. The maximum win in Judge and Jury Megaways is 10,000x bet whether the payout percentage is capped at 96.50%.
Winning combinations require two or three to six matching winning patterns and/or wilds, depending on the value of the winning pattern. Winning combinations are also broken, after which the empty spaces are filled with new winning and/or special patterns.
Paytable & Payouts
In the paytable, we see low to high value card patterns listing 10-A as well as handcuffs, safes, crooks, cops and judges as the main winning patterns. The line value of the latter is 150 x the bet for the six reels. The special patterns are the wilds, which are represented by sirens decorated with corresponding text, and the scatter symbols by the game logos. The free spins feature has its own special pattern here too, which we will come back to later.
Extra Bet
The player can decide before or after any of the spins are played whether to take advantage of the so-called extra bet. In this case, the bet used is increased by 25%, against which the odds of the free spin feature are now doubled.
Wild Symbols
The Wilds come in two different colors – blue and red backgrounds. Blue wilds are everywhere and red only on the top row. If there is a red wild on the top row, it will convert all symbols on its reels into wilds.
Judge and Jury vs. 3 other Megaways slots
Slot name | Developer | Max. win | Multipliers | Betting range |
Judge and Jury | Skywind | 10,000x | Yes, increasing | 0.20-200 |
Stargate | SG Digital | 25,000x | Yes, increasing | 0.20-10 |
Doggy Riches | Red Tiger | 10,500x | Yes, increasing | 0.10-10 |
Chilli Picante | Blueprint Gaming | 50,000x | Yes | 0.10-10 |
The Judge
The judge, on the other hand, has two special features. The judge can remove all card symbols from a game round or convert three to six squares to wilds.
Reels also have wanted posters. If such a poster matches the right-hand side (computer browser) random draw poster, the player is paid the coin payout indicated by the poster, with a range of x2 to x5000.
Free Spins
Four scatter symbols reward the player with 10 free spins, and more scatter symbols reward the player with 5 additional spins up to 20 free spins. Free spins can be won with three and four scatter symbols in the free spins feature, rewarded with five and ten extra spins respectively. All winning combinations increase the multiplier as usual, but do not multiply the coin wins. The free spins feature features a new special symbol, represented by the prisoners behind the bars. Three, four, five or six of these symbols, in that order, denote one, two, three or four choices to win additional spins and multipliers, as well as coin wins from x5 to x100.
Bonus Purchase
The bonus bet is x80, which pays out four to six scatter symbols on the reels.
Summary
We remember once saying that Skywind Group’s megaways games were some of the simplest in the industry, but now that line is being broken for a while. In the meantime, they’re to be commended anyway, as since last autumn they’ve released some of the best megaways games that we’ve seen in that sample.
It may be a matter of taste as to which of all the features you class as special and which you don’t, but there are plenty of them anyway, and the free spins feature isn’t any old spin either, although there are the familiar odds.
