It’s all about the wheel

The wheel feature – in which a spin of the wheel can yield different prizes – is central to World of Wonka. Those prizes on the wheel are the other features in the game.

Not to mention the Oompa Loompa feature, which can be triggered every spin in the base game, but has nothing to do with the wheel feature.

Oompa Loompa feature

When World of Wonka’s Oompa Loompa feature becomes active, it has 2 consequences:

• The playing area is expanded to 8 or 10 reels. For making winning combinations, the playing field is divided into 2 reels of 4 (in the case of 8 reels) or 2 reels of 5 (in the case of 10 reels).
• All winning combinations made are doubled in value.

Are you as lucky as Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

Wheel feature

That the wheel feature is the basis of almost all features in World of Wonka, you know by now. But how exactly do you trigger the wheel feature? You do so by first spinning at least two scatters on the game field. That’s when those scatters expand to the total size of the reel, yielding 1 bonus respin. Before that bonus respin takes place, the spinning scatters are fixed on their reels. During a bonus respin, only additional wilds or blank symbols can land. So this way, you can spin additional scatters. This is certainly important, because the more scatters you spin, the better you will be rewarded.

• 3 scatters: cash prize of 10x your stake and trigger the wheel feature
• 4 scatters: cash prize of 20x your stake and trigger the wheel feature
• 5 scatters: cash prize of 50x your stake and trigger the wheel feature

In the wheel feature, a wheel appears on the screen, which is divided into different segments. As you know, these are the other features in World of Wonka. You get to spin the wheel once, which yields 1 of the following rewards:

• Chocolate river feature
• A bet multiplier of minimum 5 and maximum 80 times your bet
• You get nothing feature
• 8, 10 or 12 free spins

World of Wonka compared to 3 other slots from Light & Wonder

Chocolate river feature

The chocolate river feature is actually a dead simple pick & click feature, in which the player has to click on chocolates. Hidden behind each chocolate is a cash prize of a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 20 times your bet. However, there is 1 chocolate that reveals the words “fall in”, causing you to tumble into the chocolate river. That means the feature has ended.

You get nothing feature

If the feature is triggered as a result of the wheel feature, you are presented with 3 options. It’s up to you, the player, to choose 1 of the 3 options, which earns a cash prize of a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 400 times the bet.

Golden ticket feature

You don’t have to earn the golden ticket feature, as you get to play it automatically in World of Wonka once you have unlocked the wheel feature. The golden ticket feature is activated automatically after the wheel feature has been played. You get a chocolate bar in the golden ticket feature, just like Charlie has in the movie. If you are as lucky as Charlie, the chocolate bar contains a golden wrapper. That means you will be rewarded with a cash prize of 500 times your stake.

World of Wonka free spins

Then there is also a free spins feature present in World of Wonka. That free spins feature is played on 10 reels, meaning that the playing area for making winning combinations is split into 2 times 5 reels.

Each free spin can land 1 to 3 mega symbols, which have dimensions of 2×2 and take the shape of Willy Wonka, which is the most valuable pay symbol in World of Wonka. Before a free spin takes place, even 1 or more Willy Wonka symbols can already be placed on the playfield.
