Layout
The game is positioned on a 5 reel, 4 row, 20 payline interface which has the added bonus of paying out on both sides.
Before you even draw your sword and go for the gold, you’ll need to take a moment to adjust your variable bet from $0.20 to $10 per spin. The slot’s RTP is 94.8% and the volatility is high. The line wins alone are not necessarily very exciting, you will have to wait to unlock the Mystery Stones, multipliers and wild symbols to make it much more lucrative and rack up multiple win lines at once, fortunately you will notice that these phenomena occur quite frequently during the game at Lion’s Hoard.
The gem symbols are not the most profitable with the clover, the green and the orange. The best symbols are the red crown, the warrior’s helmet, the shield, the swords and the ring. The wild will substitute for all symbols in the game without exception.
Lion’s Hoard works with a diamond collection mechanism that activates special features. Let’s see how it works in the rest of our review.
Features
Diamond Reels
Each reel except the middle one has four diamond slots on top. The Diamond Scatter symbols you find on the reels will fill these slots as you spin. When a slot is full, the corresponding reel will turn into a Diamond Reel containing only Mystery Stones. These Mystery Stones will all reveal an identical symbol on the next spin and every spin until they help create a win.
White Diamond Scatter
Scatter diamond symbols can appear on the reels and will be collected in the slots. If you get more than four, then the next diamonds collected will increase the reel multiplier by x1 for each additional diamond.
Blue Diamond Scatter
The Blue Diamond Scatter symbol can appear only on the middle reel, it will instantly fill all slots on all reels and may increase the Reel Multiplier of some reels if they are already filled.
Mystery Stones
When a Diamond Reel is activated, it will be filled with Mystery Stones that will stay in place for the next few spins. On each spin, all Mystery Stones will reveal an identical random symbol. If the revealed symbol contributes to a win, then those Mystery Stones will disappear from the screen.
Reel Multiplier
Each Diamond Scatter symbol that appears on the reels while the Diamond Reel is active will add to the Reel Multiplier. This win multiplier applies to all lines that the symbols on that reel are part of. If multiple reel multipliers are involved in the same win then they multiply each other for a maximum value of 96x.
Super Wild
The Wild substitutes for every symbol in the game, a Wild symbol spread over the entire reel can appear from the Mystery Stones and stay in place until it participates in a win.
Overall
As you can see, the main attraction of Red Tiger’s Lion’s Hoard slot is the collection of Diamond Scatters. The more diamonds you collect on the reels, the easier it is to unlock Mystery Stones, multipliers and Super Wilds that can generate real wins of up to 8160x the stake. You can start playing Lion’s Hoard on your mobile or computer with the free demo feature.
