With Ragnarök looming on the horizon, Thor, accompanied by Heimdall and Freya, leads the battle to defend Asgard from evil forces in search of the ruby-red Rune Stone. The warriors must face chaos to protect their ancestral homeland.

Visually, Viking Runecraft 100 sublimates Norse mythology with phenomenal work on symbols and the Viking universe. A god watches over us with every spin, against a backdrop of grandiose fjords and northern lights. As the action intensifies, the scenery turns volcanic with a deluge of lava.

The Cluster Pays mechanism now evolves on a 5×5 grid. By aligning 3 or more symbols, horizontally or vertically, wins can be formed. Winning potential jumps to 15,000x the stake, a 50% increase on the previous title in the series. Statistically, there are other changes too: the RTP has changed only slightly, with an RTP of 96.20%, but volatility has increased for an even more intense experience. In addition, you’ll find a host of mythical features also adding dynamism to the gameplay: stunts, win multiplier, God Power, symbol deletion, free spins with increasing multiplier are just some of them.

Protect Asgard with Nordic deities

Starting to protect Asgard requires a wager on the part of players. Bet between $0.20 and $100 per spin to start the game in Viking Runecraft 100. Winnings are obtained when 3, 4 or 5 or more identical symbols group together on the grid. These may include the Axe, Mjöllnir or Horned Helmet, which pay between 0.10x and 3x the stake. Or combinations of Thor, Freya, Heimdall or a mix of the three pay between 0.20x and 10x the stake. A Wild can also win up to 50x the stake while replacing all symbols in the game, and can only be created following a stunt and appear in the middle of a winning combination when 3 winning symbols disappear. Winning combinations are deleted after they have been collected, and the remaining symbols will tumble down in an attempt to form new wins. During stunts, a win multiplier increases with each tumble.

In addition to stunts, wilds and increasing multipliers, Nordic deities are the source of eventful gameplay, including the God Power feature, Ragnarök and Free Spins.

God Power

The God Power function is randomly triggered on a losing spin, in an attempt to give players a second chance to win. Depending on the active deity on the right of the grid, a unique power may be triggered from among the following: Thunder, Vision or Magic.

• Thunder: Transforms one type of symbol into another.
• Magic: Adds 1 or 2 Wilds to the grid.
• Vision: Removes two symbol types from the grid.

The game starts with a random god, followed by the following order: Thor, Freya then Heimdall. The active god changes after each power triggered. During Free Spins, the selected power is triggered with each losing spin.

Ragnarök

The Ragnarök function is triggered by completely filling the counter on the left of the grid. This counter is filled with winning symbols containing gods only. The Wild can also contribute to the fill. The meter has three sections, with 5-symbol combinations filling the gauge with 3 sections, 4-symbol combinations filling the gauge with 2 sections, and 3-symbol combinations filling the gauge with one section.

Once fully loaded, a free spin is awarded. The win multiplier is reset and a God Power is applied to every symbol that falls and doesn’t allow a winning combination, until all three gods have activated their power. If the grid becomes completely empty of symbols during this free spin, then Free Spins will be triggered.

Before the free spins start, choose one of the three gods. Thor grants 4 initial free spins, Freya grants 5 and Heimdall grants 8. The win multiplier does not reset over the course of the bonus and can reach up to 100x maximum. During Free Spins, the power of the selected god will activate on each losing spin, and further spins can be won again by filling the counter.

Clear Grid

By clearing the entire grid of symbols at any time except during Ragnarök mode, you’ll win an instant prize of 50x the total stake multiplied by the current win multiplier.

Previously in Viking Runecraft: Apocalypse, it was all about thwarting Loki’s plans. Now, the Norse deities are here to defend Asgard and protect a ruby-red runestone. Through this mission, numerous events can take place, leading players to rewards of up to 15,000x the stake. Although the theme is inspired by previous titles in the series, the gameplay is modelled on other slot machines that Play N Go has produced in the past, most notably Moon Princess 100, which is very similar.
