The Potion Payday slot developed by High 5 Games takes you into the secret workshop of an alchemist in search of a formula to turn metals into philosopher’s stone and create various magical elixirs. Learn the art of alchemy as you join him in a laboratory full of mysteries to win great rewards.
Potion Payday works with the Clusterbucks mechanism, which consists in forming groups of winning symbols on the 49 reels present on the screen. It’s different from what you can usually find and the main feature of the game called Racking Up Riches will help you form these winning groups. Thus, you will have to assemble the different symbols of ingredients that do not pay, to form magic potions and philosopher’s stones capable of delivering various rewards depending on the size of the group they have formed.
To start the game, you have to bet from $0.20 credits to $400 per turn, the RTP of the game is 96%. Then you will have to understand how the Racking Up Riches works, which we have already encountered in other High 5 Games slots.
Racking Up Riches
The Racking Up Riches feature is activated when a group of 4 or more identical ingredient symbols appear horizontally or vertically on the game screen. The list of ingredient symbols consists of the eye, mushroom, petal, leaf and various colored materials.
Each group will merge by combining the identical symbols to occupy as few positions on the screen as possible, no more than 4 identical ingredients can combine together in one position. The ingredients may appear on the screen in a double or triple form counting as 2 or 3 ingredient symbols.
After the symbols combine together to form potions or philosopher’s stones, all other reel positions disappear and new symbols appear in the empty slots. If enough new symbols appear to form at least one more potion or philosopher’s stone, then the ingredient and material symbols in groups of 4 or more will combine again and the process is repeated until no more new potions or philosopher’s stones are formed.
Winning combinations will only be caused by potion or stone symbols merged from the same group, it is possible to form a win with 1 symbol and up to 48 symbols maximum. The winnings table shows that the yellow potion is the one that pays the most with a maximum amount of 60,000 credits, followed by the purple, the red, the green and then the philosopher’s stones capable of paying the same maximum amount of 6,000 credits.
To add a bit of madness to the alchemist’s experiments, the Free Games mode can amplify the magical phenomena.
Free Games Bonus
The free spins are activated when 3 or 4 Bonus Cauldrons appear on the reels causing 8 or 30 free spins. The pots can only appear in each corner of the Potion Payday slot screen.
