In Octo Attack, we’re plunged into a monochrome urban environment where Otto, a blue octopus with a menacing gaze confronts us next to the grid. His tentacles flap about as he stares intently at us. What does this aquatic creature want with us in city territory? It would seem that our aim is to tame it and win prizes of up to 10,000x the stake. With each winning combination, Otto spills his ink on the winning positions, paving the way for his fearsome Tenta-Grab feature. The latter replaces the symbols, maximizing potential profits.

The melody used for this game is full of tension, so it will match the visual aesthetics of the game. Random objects and touches of flashy color are also incorporated, giving Octo Attack a punk rock feel. Fans of the studio will no doubt recognize this graphic signature, already seen in other titles such as Chaos Crew.

Although it’s possible to win 10,000x the stake in any phase of the game, it’s during this last bonus that the craziest spins can occur and give you access to the best rewards.

Getting the ink flowing requires an initial bet of between $0.10 and $100. Octo Attack features 6 5-row reels operating with Cluster Pays mechanics, and the game’s features give it a moderately volatile model with an RTP of 96.27%.

You’ll win prizes when at least 5 identical symbols cluster anywhere on the reels horizontally or vertically. Ink Stains

Each win triggers a cascade in which all the winning symbols disappear, causing the others to tumble, potentially producing several wins in a row. When this happens, the winning combinations will also be marked by an ink stain. These are removed from the grid once used by the Tenta-Grab mechanic and disappear between spins.

Eye of Otto & The Tenta-Grab Mechanic

The Eye of Otto symbol activates the Tenta-Grab Mechanic when it appears on the grid with ink spots. Once activated, the Tenta-Grab Mechanic will randomly grab a symbol from the grid and replace all inked positions with that symbol. Symbols can be weak, strong, Free Spins, Wilds or Wild Multipliers.

If a Wild or Wild Multiplier is caught by the Tenta-Grab mechanic, then the replaced symbols will be either Wilds or Wild Multipliers with stronger or weaker values than the selected symbol.

Eight Arm Is The Charm

Activate this bonus when at least 3 red FS symbols appear. The number of triggering FS symbols will determine the number of Free Spins won. During this bonus, ink blots will not be removed from the grid between spins until they are used in the Tenta-Grab mechanic.

By making other FS symbols appear at the same time during the feature, further Free Spins will be earned. Every 3 Free Spins symbols appearing at the same time provides an additional Free Spin.
