How Death Dominion Works
Death Dominion is played on a 6-reel, 5-row grid using a “Scatter Pays” system: wins are awarded when the same symbol appears at least 8 times anywhere on the screen, with no need for fixed paylines. After every winning spin, the “Tumble” (or cascading) feature is triggered: the symbols that formed the winning combination disappear, the remaining symbols drop down, and new symbols fill the empty spaces from above. This process continues until no more winning combinations are formed, and all wins accumulated during the sequence are added to the player’s balance.
The minimum bet is $0.20, and the maximum is $240 in the base game-which can increase to $2,400 by activating the “Ante Bet” feature.
Bonus Features and Special Symbols
- Multiplier Symbol: In the base game, whenever this symbol appears, it is assigned a random value between 2x and 100x. At the end of the tumble sequence, the values of all Multiplier symbols on the screen are added together, and the total win for that sequence is multiplied by this final value.
- Doom Symbol: When this symbol appears, it can-after all winning combinations have been processed-either randomly remove all Multiplier symbols currently on the screen (negating their effect) or transform into a Multiplier symbol with a random value. This introduces an element of risk to the gameplay, as it has the potential to wipe out the winnings accumulated up to that point.
- Free Spins: These are triggered by landing 4, 5, or 6 Scatter symbols, awarding 12, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively. During the feature, landing 3 or more additional Scatters grants 5 extra spins. Depending on the type of Scatter symbols that triggered the feature (standard Scatter, Dominion Scatter, or Immortal Scatter), different versions of the Free Spins are activated-featuring broader multiplier ranges (up to 1,000x in some variants) and varying behaviors for the “Doom” (Sventura) symbol.
- Buy Feature: You can trigger a version of the Free Spins directly for a cost: 100x your bet for the Standard variant, 200x for Dominion, 300x for Immortal, and 750x for Immortal Dominion.
- Special Bets: In addition to the standard bet, the game offers four higher-cost modes that alter the odds or characteristics of the spins: Ante Bet 1 (2x, increases the chance of triggering Free Spins), Ante Bet 2 (10x, significantly increases the chance of the Immortal Dominion variant), Super Spin 1 (15x, guarantees one “Doom” symbol and one multiplier on every spin), and Super Spin 2 (250x, guarantees a multiplier with a minimum value of 50x on every spin).
Low-value symbols (bell, candles, crown, vial, cross) pay out up to 10x the bet, while high-value symbols (wolf, RIP headstone, hourglass, raven) pay out up to 50x, according to the provider’s official paytable-with payouts proportional to the base bet.
Death Dominion compared to 4 different slots from provider Pragmatic Play

| Death Dominion | 20,000x | 96.5% | Free Spins | High |
| Happy Dragon | 5,000x | 96.5% | Free Spins | High |
| Wild Wild Riches Returns | 10,000x | 96.5% | Free Spins | High |
| Fiesta Fortune | 5,000x | 96.5% | Hold & Win | High |
| Wild Wild Pearls | 5,000x | 96.4% | Free Spins | High |
RTP and Volatility: What the Numbers Say
The provider lists three theoretical RTP values, depending on the operator and jurisdiction: 96.54%, 95.52%, and 94.52%. This is a statistical value calculated over millions of game rounds; it does not indicate how much you will win in any single session. The rules also note slight variations in the RTP depending on the betting mode chosen (ranging from “Ante Bets” to “Buy” features), fluctuating between 96.50% and 96.56% for the version with a baseline RTP of 96.54%.
The volatility is rated by the provider as medium (3/5); the rules describe it as a combination that pays out regularly, with a range of payout amounts that ranges from low to very high. This means that, theoretically, wins occur less infrequently than in a high-volatility slot, yet there remains scope for substantial payouts, thanks to the Multiplier component.
Death Dominion: Put to the Test
Death Dominion features a dark theme typical of Pragmatic Play titles. The first thing that stands out in the rules is the variety of Free Spins modes available-Standard, Dominion, Immortal, and Immortal Dominion-each with its own distinct probabilities and multiplier ranges. On paper, the mechanic that intrigues me most is the “Doom” (Sventura) symbol; it’s not just a simple multiplier, but a genuine risk factor, as it can wipe out your accumulated multipliers just when the sequence is really building up.
In our demo sessions, we’ll be looking at how often the Doom symbol actually transforms into a Multiplier rather than erasing the ones already collected, as well as the frequency with which Scatters appear during the base game. Given the stated medium volatility, it’s the gap between the theoretical design and the actual gameplay experience that truly matters. The “Special Bets” (specifically “Super Spin 2,” which guarantees a minimum 50x multiplier per spin but costs 250 times the stake) look interesting on paper, but they need to be seen in action to determine whether they are actually worthwhile.
