How does Buggin work?

With a playing field of 7 by 7 symbols, you play Buggin with 49 symbols in total. The slot uses the cluster win mechanism, where winning combinations are formed by landing 5 or more identical symbols connected horizontally and/or vertically. Wild features with (wild) symbols

Buggin offers a number of unique features, including multiple features around the wild symbols, extra large symbols and a free spins round.

Large symbols

During the game, symbols can land as large symbols in 2×2 or 3×3 formats. The value of these symbols consists of the number of normal squares that fit into them. So a 2×2 symbol is worth 5 symbols and a 3×3 symbol is worth 9 symbols.

Wild symbols and the waterfall mechanism

Each time you form a winning cluster, it activates the waterfall mechanism. If a wild symbol is part of a cluster, this symbol will remain in place and will not fall off the playing field. If there are no wild symbols, then after the waterfall mechanism, a wild symbol with a multiplier will appear in one of the empty positions. When there are multiple wild symbols in the same cluster, they are merged into a larger wild symbol, combining the multipliers into a new multiplier.

Feature wild symbols

Winning clusters also fill the bar at the top of the playing field. Once this bar is full, you will receive a random wild symbol. This symbol is placed in the boxes at the top of the screen, after which the bar is reset again. After the waterfall mechanism, the collected wild symbols are placed on the playing field. If you use it in a winning cluster, you activate the corresponding feature. The possible features are:

• Enlarge: enlarge any symbol to a large 2×2 or 3×3 symbol.
• Multiplier: increases the multiplier of the wild and applies it to all wild symbols that are not part of a cluster.
• Extra wild symbols: turns 2 to 4 regular symbols into wild symbols.
• Upgrade: Upgrade all regular symbols to more valuable symbols.

Wild redrop

On each spin, 1 of the wild symbol boxes will be marked with the wild redrop feature. If you collected enough wild symbols to reach this box, you get a wild redrop.
