Design-wise, the Wheels N Reels has cartoonish graphics. We have seen many visually stunning Playtech titles, but it seems that this time around, they have focused on the in-game features rather than the design.
Wheels N Reels Symbols and Features
The low-paying symbols include A, K, Q, and J royals. The premium symbols are represented by a red helmet, blue, green and red racing cars with the latter being the highest paying symbol paying 50 times your stake if you land 5 identical symbols on a payline.
The chequered flag is the wild symbol, and it does all its usual duties. It substitutes all the other symbols to create a winning combination. If you land 2, 3, 4 or 5 wilds on a payline, you get 0.5, 5, 50 or 500 times your stake, respectively.
The trophy acts as a scatter. If you land 3, 4, or 5 scatters on a payline, you win 5, 10 or 50 times your stake. Strange enough, landing three or more scatters on the reels do not trigger a bonus feature.
Wheels N Reels video review:
Pit Stop Bonus Feature
The slot is centred about the trigger of the Pit Stop Bonus feature. It is activated when you land a Pit Stop Bonus symbol on reels 1 and 5 in one spin. Once you trigger the bonus, you have to choose tyres that hide free spins and a multiplier of up to 10x. If you land the Pit Stop Bonus symbol on reels 1 and 5 during the bonus round, you retrigger the feature and you can win an unlimited number of free spins.
The payout table looks good enough even if you do not trigger the Pit Stop Bonus feature. Still, you’d be better off if you activate it. The racing cars theme makes us believe that Playtech targets predominantly men with the Wheels N Reels release, although the payout is lavish enough to attract everyone. So, if you are looking for a fun, exhilarating new title, the Wheels N Reels might be exactly what you need.
