How to Play Merlin’s 10K Ways

To get to the 10,000 Ways to Win, Merlin’s 10K Ways has a playing field with six reels. All of these are four symbols high. Plus above reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 there floats another horizontal reel that spins from right to left. The bet is set at $1 by default and you adjust it in the menu. Here you choose from values between $0.20 and $20 per spin.

Click on the spin button and the reels start spinning. You now hope to have at least 3 times the same symbol on connecting reels. After a winning combination, the used symbols explode to make way for new ones.

The symbols you encounter are cards worth 0.5 to 0.9 times the bet at 6-of-a-kind. The magic potion and magic book give you up to 1 or 1.2 times the bet. The blue, green and red dragons are symbols with a high value of 2 to 5 times your bet.

What do we think about the Merlin’s 10K Ways slot machine?

We are not impressed with Merlin’s 10K Ways. ReelPlay’s unique pay mechanism is not that new by now. There are already a dozen or so slot machines that use it, and it’s actually not that different from a regular Win All Ways with Cascade.

Moreover, the gameplay is not very exciting. You often need the top row to get through the stacked symbols. But of course, those stacks in turn ensure that you have a chance to win extreme winnings. How often those return, you can already guess. Very few.
