More or less reliable sources have been teasing the Hall of the Mountain King release, but we refrained from publishing any unverified information. Now, the release date is clear. May 14 is fast approaching, so here’s what you should expect.
Hall of the Mountain King is a high variance, 5-reel, 20 payline slot, playable across desktop and mobile devices and accepting bets in the range 0.20-£100 per spin.
The symbols you will land when you get the reels spinning include low-value A to 10 royals, as well as 4 trolls. There is a wild symbol that replaces all the other symbols except the scatter to help you create winning combinations. The Troll King Hammer is the scatter that triggers the free spins.
Every time you hit a winning combination, the Multiplier Meter comes into play and a multiplier of up to x5 is attached to your win.
Land at least 3 scatters on the 3 middle reels to activate the free spins round and benefit from symbol upgrades, whirling wilds and multipliers of up to x15.
The free spins round consists of 3 stages, and each of them brings you a different incentive.
Stage 1 – you have five stone blocks for each of the low-paying royals. Every time you score a win, the Troll King destroys a symbol block and upgrades it to a premium symbol. You level up when all stone blocks are destroyed
Stage 2 – the Troll King smashes every whirlwind wild you land during the free spins. In addition, you will see a random number of wilds added to the Whirlwind collection meter. You level up when you collect 6 whirlwind wilds.
Stage 3 – you get 3 spins with premium symbols only. A random number of whirlwind wilds is added on the reels during each free spin
The Hall of the Mountain King looks impressive and it has the potential to become a smash hit. Quckspin already has some experience with releasing blockbuster titles. After Ivan and the Immortal King, the Hall of the Mountain King would be yet another demonstration of Quickspin’s dev team craftsmanship.
