In a press release, published on March 1st, the Malta Gaming Authority announced that it has cancelled the licence of World Services Limited. The latter is the company behind twenty sports betting and casino sites including europacasino365, limebet.eu, riverbet.eu, winbet22.com, betsbet.eu, 365gold.eu, viplay.eu, flashbet7.com, riobet21.com, poker00.eu, specialbet365.com, onlywin.eu, and more.
World Services Ltd. was issued sports betting and casino licenses. Both of them are now revoked. The company was ordered to cease operations, inform its customers about the suspension and remove all links and banners that may mislead visitors about the licensing matters and the MGA involvement.
Players who have outstanding payments or an unused casino balance should get in touch with the MGA officials.
The MGA authorities have not disclosed information regarding the World Services Limited licenses cancellation, as any public revelations may compromise the upcoming investigation.
The World Services Limited is the fifth operator who has had its license terminated/ suspended over the last few weeks. Back in February, the MGA has taken actions against Morpheus Games, World-of-bets EU Limited and the German sportsbook operator Betixx Ltd.
Malta has been a shelter for many refugee casinos over the last few years, but it seems that the authorities have taken measures against rogue operators. The crackdown was prompted by the intensified pressure from countries where online gambling is prohibited but Maltese licensees provide their services regardless of the regulations.
